The Best Products: Tarte Cosmetics

Anyone looking into or wanting to purchase anything from Tarte, here's your guide of my all time favorite products from Tarte Cosmetics

I'll be discussing my favorite products from one of my all time favorite makeup brands! In my opinion, I think Tarte is a great beginners brand for those ready to step into the real world of makeup. Obviously, not every product from Tarte is the greatest but this is your guide to avoid getting the wrong product for you!

TARTELETTE IN BLOOM EYESHADOW PALETTE

  • Sturdy
  • Wonderful Vanilla Scent
  • Creamy
  • Pigmented
  • Best Palette for Beginners
  • Little fallout
The Tartelette in Bloom was one of my first "big girl palettes" that really got me into makeup. I mentioned it in my Holy Grails because it's truly an amazing palette. I remember being blown away by how pigmented the shimmer shades were and the lovely vanilla scent when I first used it. The shades are super creamy and blendable (and smell fantastic if I haven't mentioned it for the millionth time). The cute packaging is very travel friendly with the large mirror and is very sturdy incase it gets dropped! THE BEST NATURAL PALETTE ON THE MARKET, I can't stress that enough. Definitely a strong recommendation by me.

TARTE SHAPE TAPE

  • Full coverage
  • Brightens
  • Lots of product
  • Wide variety of shades
I held back buying this because I purchased the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer (which was barely my shade) in Fair. However, I should've bought this sooner. It's way better in coverage, and the shade "Fair" is actually Fair. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY! Seriously, it's so full coverage but it is not super thick in consistency. You really do get a lot of product for your money because you do not have to use so much concealer. It looks so good on me and if you don't need full coverage, you can sheer the Shape Tape out with a wet beauty blender. This honestly blends into my skin perfectly and is a MUST for you.

TARTEIST PRO PALETTE

  • Pigmented
  • Creamy
  • Versatile
  • Smells like vanilla
I don't know why I am so stubborn to buy Tarte products. I waited to get the Shape Tape and I waited to get this palette, both products ended up being fantastic. For $53 USD, you get a lot of variety in potential looks. The metallic/duochrome shades on the right are super pretty and very pigmented. I love this whole palette. I love the pops of color, the neutral shades offered, the bronzey orange shades, the cooler toned purples. It's just a well put together palette that has a lot to offer. The vanilla is amazing, the shadows are super blendable, I LOVE IT. If you're wanting to explore into the more colorful shades, this is a great palette to start out with!

RULE BENDER DOUBLED-ENDED EYESHADOW BRUSH

  • Soft
  • Doesn't shed
  • Angled to prevent smearing pigment on the lid
  • Sturdy
I got this brush when I got my Tartelette in Bloom Palette in a bundle on QVC. This brush has never disappointed me because I've had it for about a year and half, it hasn't shed all over the place and it's still as soft as it was they day I got it. The angled blending brush is perfect for getting in your eye socket straight on to prevent blending pigment in areas you don't want pigment. It's sturdy, easy to travel with, and the perfect brush to take with you on the go if you need to. The packing side is dense and easy to pack on glittery shades or set your eye primer with white shadow. It retails for $28 USD on Tarte's website but it lasted me a year and a half and has no signs of falling apart. It's good quality and I think it's well worth its money.

TARTEIST PRO GLOW TO GO HIGHLIGHT AND CONTOUR PALETTE

  • Small
  • Easy to travel with
  • Creamy
  • Smells great
  • Just as good as the full size

Honestly, this is the smartest thing Tarte has every come up with. It's small enough to take with you on the go to school, to work, to travel with. I wish there was just a tad bit more product for $23 USD if someone didn't want to drop $50 for the full sized contour palette and this was their daily palette for contouring. The formula of the highlight and contour is on par. It's so soft, creamy, and BLENDABLE. It's one of my favorites!

OVERALL

I think Tarte is one of my favorite brands out there. They have so many good products and so many good lines within the brand (like the Tarteist Pro line). Their eyeshadows never disappoint me to be honest, they're always so creamy and pigmented with a lovely vanilla scent. There are so many outstanding products from Tarte that I didn't even mention in here! It's a pretty consistent brand that really performs well. If you're experienced or new to makeup, Tarte has something that caters to your level of skill. Tarte is cruelty free and works with charities that donate to saving sealife. Tarte can be found in Sephora and Ulta stores and online!

Sephora vs Ulta: Which Do I Prefer?

Read about my input as to which I prefer and why! Chances are, if you live by a Sephora, you live by an Ulta.  The two stores are quite similar when it comes down to what they offer: a wide option of makeup brands that vary in price to tailor to your needs. However, if you've been in both store before, you notice the obvious differences. LOCATION Starting off with location, Sephora's are typically in a mall (or at least every one I've been in is) and it's lethal to my bank account. My Sephora is located right across from the Starbucks and the Chick-fil-a in the center of the mall and it stares at me every time I walk by, and of course I walk in. There's only one Sephora in the Oklahoma City Metro, making it very crowded. I try to avoid the magnetic pull of Sephora when it's the weekend because my feet are always getting stepped on by people or getting rolled over by a baby stroller. It's inconvenient in my opinion and bothers me during my shoppin...

Black Friday Haul 2017

Check out what I purchased this Black Friday and my shopping experience! The most wonderful time of the shopping year: Black Friday Weekend. My bank account is not happy with me, but I am quite content with what I purchased! I will be going over my experience, what I got, and I will do a follow up blog post with products that worked and didn't really work out for me. I've already tried out some of these products though but I won't spoil any of the de tails (yet). Enjoy browsing through my haul! Overall, everything in the photo above was what I purchased, except the NYX Advent Calendar (which Mr. Glammunition got for me on Black Friday). I really do like everything I got but I will still do a My Thoughts  over the whole haul. I won't go into depth about my opinion of the products but more of an overview of the product's details.  NYX LIPPIE COUNTDOWN On Black Friday, this advent calendar, containing 24 mini lippies, was on sale for $3...

Anti-Haul: Summer 2017

Some of these products coming out aren't grabbing my attention and I'll be explaining why I will not be purchasing them! Throughout the summer, a lot of summer collections have already dropped but big beauty brands are now prepping for their fall/holiday collections. Some products have been teased, others leaked. So without any hesitation, let's dive into this anti-haul.  Anti-haul: A term made famous by beauty bloggers discussing what products they will not be purchasing that season TOO FACED WHITE CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE This palette honestly looks like trash. Actually, let me backtrack that statement, the green, the peachy shade in the bottom left corner, and the orange shade look good, everything else is not appealing to me. The White Chocolate Chip Palette wasn't a major success in the first place. It had way too many light shades to really make a full  look. With the WCC's sister, we do see some pops of color and some crease shades and two pot...
