My Thoughts (FINALLY): My Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes + High End Dupes

Finally, the time has come for me to spill the beans on my favorite eyeshadow palettes! I've been working hard and constantly getting new eyeshadow palettes to test out. See who reigns superior! After months of promising, it's finally  here. I will be sharing all my favorite, must have, eyeshadow palettes. From drugstore to high end palette, I will be going over it all! I will be rating these palettes with an overall rating and rating them by individual categories. Which palette will prove to be the best of the best? ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS MODERN RENAISSANCE This comes as no surprise, as it's one of my Holy Grail products. The formula of these eyeshadows is just superb. It takes awhile to hit pan too (I pat my brushes in the shadow, I am not a swirler) mostly because a little bit of shadow goes a long way. The shadows feel so buttery and smooth while the metallics are just so beautiful. This was a great starter palette for me when I started to venture out...

Glam Lab: I Compared All My Mascaras That I Owned

I decided to put all six of my mascaras to the ultimate test to see which one is the best, all for science (of course). I like to sit in my beauty room a lot and just goof around with my makeup. It's my only entertainment as an only child and we all do it! I like to call this goofing around as "experimenting" for valuable knowledge of the makeup products I own. Doing this has really provided me with a lot of scientific breakthroughs for my makeup game. So when I sat down the other day and looked at my mascaras, I thought to myself "which one of you is the superior mascara?" So here are my findings. BEFORE WE START... My lashes are definitely thicker and naturally very long. I do prefer a lifting mascara that keeps my lashes up all day but can also add a bit of voluminosity. I've always stuck to shorter bristled mascara wands but I'm venturing out into the more spoole shaped type of wands. Also, I am BooBoo the Fool and forgot to photog...

My Thoughts: I Was WRONG

Lol, hi, I was all sorts of wrong about the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation. Here's why! Back, around probably like November, I starting writing a "Products I Hate" post. I was about to hit "publish" but then I stopped and thought "why don't I give these products a second chance?" So I did. Well, I still hated mostly everything when giving it a second chance, but there was something different about the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation. I'm gonna go over everything  about this foundation from first impressions of use, the problems, and my final thoughts on the product! BEFORE WE START My skin type : Normal to Combo I typically get oily or dry around my nose area. My chin can get oily as well but doesn't dry up. My cheeks and my forehead are thankfully pretty smooth, they do breakout but it's not prone to do so and not common. My nose usually is the area where I breakout but it's usually hormonal. Whether this foundati...

My Thoughts: Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette

Hear my thoughts on the new Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette. I'll be talking about everything from price to formula to performance! THE PRODUCT ITSELF This eyeshadow palette contains 18 shadows with 4 different formulas. Now she does cost an arm and a leg at a whopping $65 USD. The mattes are very pigmented and buttery. The color payoff is quite exceptional and it's very buildable. You can intensify these shadows or blur them down and achieve the type of blend you desire. The metallic shadows (especially when the brush it wet), they turn out gorgeous on the eyelids. For the duo-chrome toppers and the glitter shade, I recommend a glitter glue; maybe a wet brush for the duo-chrome shade, maybe. My suggestions for a glitter glue would be the NYX Glitter Primer (if you don't want to break the bank) or the Too Faced Glitter Primer.  Here's a provided list of all the shadows and their correlating formula... Matte Shadows : Desert Sand, Musk, Eden, Amber...

My Thoughts: Colourpop Supershock Eyeshadows

Hear my thoughts (that are so long overdue) on the Colourpop Supershock Eyeshadows! I will also talk about some tips for application and longevity of the eyeshadow itself.  THE PRODUCT ITSELF The eyeshadows retail for $5 USD each on Colourpop.com , which is a smoking deal. The Super Shock formula is very unique to Colourpop because it's not your average eyeshadow. To describe the formula, it's a cream that dries down to a powder. Touching it with my fingers for the first time was an experience  because it was coldish. The Super Shock formula comes in 6 different finishes: Matte, Satin, Pearlized, Ultra Glitter, Metallic, and Ultra Metallic. They are vegan and cruelty free for anyone that was curious or only use vegan/cruelty free products.  The Super Shock Shadows I will be discussing about are the following: Brady  //  Matte Finish  //  Pink, Neutral Shade Arrow  //  Ultra Glitter Finish  //  Orange/coral, Red Sh...

My Thoughts: Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection

I have had some interesting thoughts about Too Faced in the past. Hear my thoughts on the brand new, Sephora exclusive, Peaches and Cream Collection! Recently, I got to purchase some of the products from the Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection. The entire collection is a Sephora exclusive collection for those that are curious. I was able to get my hands on 2 products out of the collection but did get swatch some of the products. In this post, I'll be discussing everything from the actual product to how Sephora has handled the launched. Keeping that in mind, let's jump right in! THE PRODUCT ITSELF Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette : This palette retails for $45 USD and features 12 matte, peachy toned eyeshadows. For the price of the palette and the amount of shades in the palette, comparing it to the Sweet Peach Palette (which has 18 shades), $45 almost seems like too much. If it was $40, that'd be a more acceptable price point for me. The shad...

The Best Products: Tarte Cosmetics

Anyone looking into or wanting to purchase anything from Tarte, here's your guide of my all time favorite products from Tarte Cosmetics I'll be discussing my favorite products from one of my all time favorite makeup brands! In my opinion, I think Tarte is a great beginners brand for those ready to step into the real world of makeup. Obviously, not every product from Tarte is the greatest but this is your guide to avoid getting the wrong product for you! TARTELETTE IN BLOOM EYESHADOW PALETTE Sturdy Wonderful Vanilla Scent Creamy Pigmented Best Palette for Beginners Little fallout The Tartelette in Bloom was one of my first "big girl palettes" that really  got me into makeup. I mentioned it in my Holy Grails  because it's truly an amazing palette. I remember being blown away by how pigmented the shimmer shades were and the lovely vanilla scent when I first used it. The shades are super creamy and blendable (and smell fantastic if I haven...

My Thoughts: Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette

I received my ABH Subculture Palette in the mail! Hear my thoughts and first impression about the Modern Renaissance's "sister palette." Sister Palette: A term by beauty gurus to relate one eyeshadow to another by formula, set up, and/or color coherence About two months ago, the Subculture Palette was leaked. Someone from Reddit leaked photos of the palette and I believe (but don't take my word for it) the photos got removed/deleted. However, the photos of the leaked had spread out like wildfire and the next thing you know, you're reading an Allure article about it. Then Norvina, Anastasia's daughter, teased the palette on a livestream, confirming it was actually happening. The original leaked photo of the Subculture Palette in May of 2017 At first photos of the palettes surface, a lot of the feedback was negative. Many were confused at how this was going to be a "sister palette" to the infamous Modern Renaissance. It was considered a...
