My Thoughts: Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette

I received my ABH Subculture Palette in the mail! Hear my thoughts and first impression about the Modern Renaissance's "sister palette." Sister Palette: A term by beauty gurus to relate one eyeshadow to another by formula, set up, and/or color coherence About two months ago, the Subculture Palette was leaked. Someone from Reddit leaked photos of the palette and I believe (but don't take my word for it) the photos got removed/deleted. However, the photos of the leaked had spread out like wildfire and the next thing you know, you're reading an Allure article about it. Then Norvina, Anastasia's daughter, teased the palette on a livestream, confirming it was actually happening. The original leaked photo of the Subculture Palette in May of 2017 At first photos of the palettes surface, a lot of the feedback was negative. Many were confused at how this was going to be a "sister palette" to the infamous Modern Renaissance. It was considered a

My Thoughts: Too Faced

Hear my thoughts on whether I think Too Faced is overdone with some of their products or is overdue for some new products! Too Faced is a widely known for their child-like makeup with chocolately and other candy-like scents that take you back to the days you used clear anything flavored Lip Smackers gloss as a little girl. Too Faced swiftly became famous for it's Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, as they blended beautifully into the skin and gave you a sunkissed glow while smelling delicious. The rest is history. Now we reflect on the very successful brand in present day. Chocolate Bar Palettes, Chocolate Bon Bon Palette, Melted Chocolate Lipsticks, Sweet Peach Palette, you name a food and the palette will probably smell like it. Certainly their iconic scents have reeled in a lot of consumers to buy their products because they offer something more unique than the rest of the brands out there. But let's talk about the products. The original Chocolate Bar Palette dropped in

Anti-Haul: Summer 2017

Some of these products coming out aren't grabbing my attention and I'll be explaining why I will not be purchasing them! Throughout the summer, a lot of summer collections have already dropped but big beauty brands are now prepping for their fall/holiday collections. Some products have been teased, others leaked. So without any hesitation, let's dive into this anti-haul.  Anti-haul: A term made famous by beauty bloggers discussing what products they will not be purchasing that season TOO FACED WHITE CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE This palette honestly looks like trash. Actually, let me backtrack that statement, the green, the peachy shade in the bottom left corner, and the orange shade look good, everything else is not appealing to me. The White Chocolate Chip Palette wasn't a major success in the first place. It had way too many light shades to really make a full  look. With the WCC's sister, we do see some pops of color and some crease shades and two pot

My Holy Grails

Hear my thoughts on my all time favorite products and why! Today I'll be discussing my holy grail makeup products. I do not have a full face of holy grails but I will come out with a full face in future time. I am so excited to share these with you and if you purchase any of these from my suggestions, let me know! Now let's get into it TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONCEALER I was on the hunt for a good brightening and full coverage concealer after the Too Faced concealer in "fair" wasn't cutting it for me. I finally treated myself to this after months of drooling over it. A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. I do 3 dots in a triangular shape and blend with a beauty blender. It's so brightening and conceals my troubled dark circles. It is exclusive to Ulta , but can be found on Tarte's website if you are wanting to purchase it! IT COSMETICS BYE BYE PORES PRESSED POWDER I live, swear, and die by this powder. I bought mine off of QVC at the time, and

Ipsy Glam Bag: July 2017

Hear my thoughts about Ipsy's July Glam Bag and see if it Glammunition approved! This month, I received the July Glam Bag and let's talk about how ADORABLE the bag is this month. When you flip it over, you see the back side of the egg and its little tushy. However, I showed it to my mother and she didn't think it was as cute.  Let's be real, with the July heat, we can all spiritually relate to this over easy egg. We are finally going to reach triple digits here in Oklahoma. But enough about the weather, lets get into the products! SO SUSAN BLENDER BRUSH This brush is literally SO SOFT. It's dense enough to pack but it's tapered to blend into smaller detailed areas that you want to reach. I cannot wait to use this everyday! OFRA SINGLE EYESHADOW IN "GOLD RUSH" I got this in my bag and when I opened up the plastic holder for the single eyeshadow and there was pigment all over it. However, I cleaned it up and swatched it and oh

Sephora vs Ulta: Which Do I Prefer?

Read about my input as to which I prefer and why! Chances are, if you live by a Sephora, you live by an Ulta.  The two stores are quite similar when it comes down to what they offer: a wide option of makeup brands that vary in price to tailor to your needs. However, if you've been in both store before, you notice the obvious differences. LOCATION Starting off with location, Sephora's are typically in a mall (or at least every one I've been in is) and it's lethal to my bank account. My Sephora is located right across from the Starbucks and the Chick-fil-a in the center of the mall and it stares at me every time I walk by, and of course I walk in. There's only one Sephora in the Oklahoma City Metro, making it very crowded. I try to avoid the magnetic pull of Sephora when it's the weekend because my feet are always getting stepped on by people or getting rolled over by a baby stroller. It's inconvenient in my opinion and bothers me during my shoppin

Meet Me: The Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Marianna and I am 16 (turning 17 tomorrow actually) and currently living in Oklahoma. I was originally born and partially raised in Tucson, Arizona before moving away at the age of 8. I moved to Montana, but was only there for about a year and a half before being relocated to Upstate New York. I lived in New York for about 6 years before moving to Oklahoma. I went through a lot of hardships between leaving New York and getting comfortable in Oklahoma, but that's a story for another time.  During my period of roughness, I found comfort in makeup. I lost a lot of confidence in myself, worried that because I didn't look like all the girls here, they would outcast me. My school size quintupled (literally) and no one knew I was new, making me feel invisible. Makeup made me feel noticed when someone complimented my eyeshadow, giving me that confidence I lacked. I eventually watched hundreds and hundreds of beauty videos on YouTube
