My Thoughts: Kylie Cosmetics Upcoming Products

Hear what I have to say about the upcoming December 13th launch at Kylie Cosmetics. Will I purchase or anti-haul it? Tis the season for holiday collections! Kylie Cosmetics already launched her holiday collection earlier but she's still giving her cult followers her some holiday treats. On December 13th, she will be launching her Bullet Lipsticks ($17), Skin Concealers (price unknown right now), and 16 Luxury Brushes (individual prices vary, set costs $360) as part of her Silver Series. Usually my "My Thoughts" series is based around products/brands that I've already tried out, but this is going to be a little different. Stay tuned. BULLET LIPSTICKS IT'S ABOUT TIME MS. JENNER. I have an infinite love for bullet lipsticks and I've been anticipating for the day that this would happen. I still haven't tried her velvet formula yet (sad face) but I figured a lot of the popular shades will be silently restocked when these babies drop. I'...

My Thoughts: Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette

Hear my thoughts on the new Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette. I'll be talking about everything from price to formula to performance! THE PRODUCT ITSELF This eyeshadow palette contains 18 shadows with 4 different formulas. Now she does cost an arm and a leg at a whopping $65 USD. The mattes are very pigmented and buttery. The color payoff is quite exceptional and it's very buildable. You can intensify these shadows or blur them down and achieve the type of blend you desire. The metallic shadows (especially when the brush it wet), they turn out gorgeous on the eyelids. For the duo-chrome toppers and the glitter shade, I recommend a glitter glue; maybe a wet brush for the duo-chrome shade, maybe. My suggestions for a glitter glue would be the NYX Glitter Primer (if you don't want to break the bank) or the Too Faced Glitter Primer.  Here's a provided list of all the shadows and their correlating formula... Matte Shadows : Desert Sand, Musk, Eden, Amber...

Black Friday Haul 2017

Check out what I purchased this Black Friday and my shopping experience! The most wonderful time of the shopping year: Black Friday Weekend. My bank account is not happy with me, but I am quite content with what I purchased! I will be going over my experience, what I got, and I will do a follow up blog post with products that worked and didn't really work out for me. I've already tried out some of these products though but I won't spoil any of the de tails (yet). Enjoy browsing through my haul! Overall, everything in the photo above was what I purchased, except the NYX Advent Calendar (which Mr. Glammunition got for me on Black Friday). I really do like everything I got but I will still do a My Thoughts  over the whole haul. I won't go into depth about my opinion of the products but more of an overview of the product's details.  NYX LIPPIE COUNTDOWN On Black Friday, this advent calendar, containing 24 mini lippies, was on sale for $3...

Tips and Tricks: The Ultimate Gift Guide

Black Friday and Christmas is coming around the corner real quick. Here are my recommendations for gift giving this holiday season! Getting gifts for your friends, your family, and maybe even yourself can be stressful. So I felt that I should make it easier by recommending some great gift/gift sets for the most loved people in your life. Obviously gifts don't make the holiday special (it's the people that do) but it doesn't hurt to show them your appreciation. So let's get into it! For your lipstick junkies Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick & Lip Mattifier Set - $22 This kit comes with 6 mini Smashbox bullet lip sticks and a min Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer. Smashbox liquid lipsticks and lipsticks are amazing. Maybe you're unsure of what shades someone likes but you're definitely sure they do not live on the more adventurous side of things; this is perfect for you. This gift set offers a wide shade range of flattering nudes a...

My Thoughts: Colourpop Supershock Eyeshadows

Hear my thoughts (that are so long overdue) on the Colourpop Supershock Eyeshadows! I will also talk about some tips for application and longevity of the eyeshadow itself.  THE PRODUCT ITSELF The eyeshadows retail for $5 USD each on Colourpop.com , which is a smoking deal. The Super Shock formula is very unique to Colourpop because it's not your average eyeshadow. To describe the formula, it's a cream that dries down to a powder. Touching it with my fingers for the first time was an experience  because it was coldish. The Super Shock formula comes in 6 different finishes: Matte, Satin, Pearlized, Ultra Glitter, Metallic, and Ultra Metallic. They are vegan and cruelty free for anyone that was curious or only use vegan/cruelty free products.  The Super Shock Shadows I will be discussing about are the following: Brady  //  Matte Finish  //  Pink, Neutral Shade Arrow  //  Ultra Glitter Finish  //  Orange/coral, Red Sh...

My Absence

I'll be talking about my whereabouts, what's new, new products I've acquired, and what's coming soon to the blog! Starting senior year has been chaotic . From applying to colleges, to applying for FAFSA and scholarships, to trying to go to as many high school football games as I possibly can, I've been a busy woman. Sadly, my blog hasn't been as highly prioritized but I want to change that. I've just been really wanting to focus on my grades, learn some German, and simply enjoy myself, which I've had the opportunity to do.  Thanksgiving is coming soon and I'll be traveling to Arizona to see my family, which means I have a lot of time to come up with blog ideas and blog again. I recently purchased the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette during the Sephora VIB sale, sadly, it didn't ship out in time to get before going on vacation. However, expect a My Thoughts on the palette soon! I will also be in the works of posting a Holida...

My Thoughts: Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection

I have had some interesting thoughts about Too Faced in the past. Hear my thoughts on the brand new, Sephora exclusive, Peaches and Cream Collection! Recently, I got to purchase some of the products from the Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection. The entire collection is a Sephora exclusive collection for those that are curious. I was able to get my hands on 2 products out of the collection but did get swatch some of the products. In this post, I'll be discussing everything from the actual product to how Sephora has handled the launched. Keeping that in mind, let's jump right in! THE PRODUCT ITSELF Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette : This palette retails for $45 USD and features 12 matte, peachy toned eyeshadows. For the price of the palette and the amount of shades in the palette, comparing it to the Sweet Peach Palette (which has 18 shades), $45 almost seems like too much. If it was $40, that'd be a more acceptable price point for me. The shad...

MUAs of the Month: August 2017

I will be highlighting some of the best MUAs with lots of potential and talent in this post and each month! This month, I will be showcasing some of my favorite MUAs out there with lots of creativity and uniqueness that makes them stand out. Each of them are beautifully their own individual with their own style of makeup! Many people submitted for MUA of the Month (and I genuinely wish I could pick you all) but these four ladies stood out the most to me. If you want to enter for MUA of the Month for September, I will be posting instructions on how to enter at the end of the post. With that in mind, let's see who earned MUA of the Month for August! Victoria Amos  //  Instagram: v.amosmakeup Simplicity is key when it comes to Victoria's makeup skills. The intricacy and the colorfulness of her eye and lip looks make her stand out compared to others. Experienced, but still learning, she is making a name for herself on Instagram and has lots of potential on t...
