My Thoughts (FINALLY): My Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes + High End Dupes

Finally, the time has come for me to spill the beans on my favorite eyeshadow palettes! I've been working hard and constantly getting new eyeshadow palettes to test out. See who reigns superior! After months of promising, it's finally  here. I will be sharing all my favorite, must have, eyeshadow palettes. From drugstore to high end palette, I will be going over it all! I will be rating these palettes with an overall rating and rating them by individual categories. Which palette will prove to be the best of the best? ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS MODERN RENAISSANCE This comes as no surprise, as it's one of my Holy Grail products. The formula of these eyeshadows is just superb. It takes awhile to hit pan too (I pat my brushes in the shadow, I am not a swirler) mostly because a little bit of shadow goes a long way. The shadows feel so buttery and smooth while the metallics are just so beautiful. This was a great starter palette for me when I started to venture out

Trend Alert: Tropical Eyeshadow (AND SOME AMAZING DUPES)

Summer may not actually be here but it is when it comes to makeup! Take a peek at the latest eyeshadow trend for this summer! It is definitely starting to feel like spring/summer here in Oklahoma and the eyeshadow trends are starting to match how it feels outside! The weather is changing and so are the eyeshadow trends, so let me tell you what's up.  Tropical colors are in  and honestly, I am here for it. Warm oranges, yellows, pinky reds, warm and neutral browns, golds, and the pops of blue are popping up everywhere. Don't believe me? Well let me show you... There's plenty more I could show you but I believe you get the point.  I've been rocking an eyeshadow look that I was inspired by Tati Westbrook did with the Natasha Denona Tropic Eyeshadow Palette. She used Pastel Melon, Fake Tan, Vintage Taupe, Exotic, Coco, and Limoncello and it looked gorgeous . However, the Natasha Denona Tropic Palette is $130 and that's a miss for me.

Glam Lab: I Compared All My Mascaras That I Owned

I decided to put all six of my mascaras to the ultimate test to see which one is the best, all for science (of course). I like to sit in my beauty room a lot and just goof around with my makeup. It's my only entertainment as an only child and we all do it! I like to call this goofing around as "experimenting" for valuable knowledge of the makeup products I own. Doing this has really provided me with a lot of scientific breakthroughs for my makeup game. So when I sat down the other day and looked at my mascaras, I thought to myself "which one of you is the superior mascara?" So here are my findings. BEFORE WE START... My lashes are definitely thicker and naturally very long. I do prefer a lifting mascara that keeps my lashes up all day but can also add a bit of voluminosity. I've always stuck to shorter bristled mascara wands but I'm venturing out into the more spoole shaped type of wands. Also, I am BooBoo the Fool and forgot to photog

Tips and Tricks: 5 Ways To Master Makeup Flatlays

Ever wanted to know how to achieve the perfect makeup flatlay for Instagram? Here are 5 steps on how to do so! Now, there is no right or wrong way to to do flatlays of makeup but I figure I'd provide some tips and tricks if you're wanting to get into flatlays. Flatlays are a fun way to show off products and their packaging. I personally love doing flatlays more than doing actual makeup looks because they're way more fun for me. Don't get me wrong, I love doing makeup looks but the process of extracting the photos, editing, making the captions, and uploading is just too much for me with my busy schedule. But without any hesitation, let's get into it! TIP #1: FILLING EMPTY SPACE The point of a flatlay is to capture the eye and capture the beauty of the product shown. Empty space (obviously) doesn't attract the eye and make your actually look at the photo.  Though the product above is displayed very neatly, there's so much empty space

My Thoughts: I Was WRONG

Lol, hi, I was all sorts of wrong about the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation. Here's why! Back, around probably like November, I starting writing a "Products I Hate" post. I was about to hit "publish" but then I stopped and thought "why don't I give these products a second chance?" So I did. Well, I still hated mostly everything when giving it a second chance, but there was something different about the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation. I'm gonna go over everything  about this foundation from first impressions of use, the problems, and my final thoughts on the product! BEFORE WE START My skin type : Normal to Combo I typically get oily or dry around my nose area. My chin can get oily as well but doesn't dry up. My cheeks and my forehead are thankfully pretty smooth, they do breakout but it's not prone to do so and not common. My nose usually is the area where I breakout but it's usually hormonal. Whether this foundati

My Thoughts: Let's End Beauty Drama Channels

Honestly, let's get rid of such a toxic element in the beauty community. It's not cool anymore if it ever really was. It's 2018 and a lot of us have probably broken our New Year's Resolutions of eating healthy, working out, and being better people. Well I propose a new resolution to not support a community of YouTube that attacks another community. I'm honestly sick of the Beauty Drama Channels trying to expose people. Now before some of you come at my throat, yes there are stuff that I am glad have been exposed by these types of channels, for example the Too Faced x NikkiTutorials PoM collab where Nikki was supposedly ripped off. There have been some good stuff that has been exposed now to make the Beauty Community a little more pure. But here's my issue. There's a difference between exposing corruption in the community and flat out gossiping about how so and so threw shade at another person. These drama channels like to claim they &q

Tips and Tricks: DON'T THROW OUT YOUR MASCARA WANDS

Seriously, don't. Your empty mascara wands can help out in a big way! See how you can help out animals in need. Shoutout to Twitter for showing me this honestly. Back in March of 2017, a Facebook page named "Love What Matters" posted about why we shouldn't throw out our old mascara wands, but instead donate them! This is amazing program is genius and who doesn't love to help out animals? Appalachian Wildlife Refuge started a program called Wands for Wildlife  that helps local wildlife get cleaned up. Essentially you can take old mascara tubes that have expired, gone dry, or have completely run out of, clean them up, and send them to the address they’ve provided. The benefits of getting the wands clean is for the Appalachian Wildlife Refuge to clean larvae and eggs out of animal’s fur. The video of the little ducky getting brushed with the mascara wand is so CUTE , it makes me want to cry, but like happy tears. The people at Appalachian Wildlife R

Best Products: A Summary of 2017

2017 was quite a year for makeup! So many new launches, so much makeup to try out, and so many favorites. Hear what products I fell in love with this year! I don't know about you, but I am not ready to constantly scribble out the number 7 for the next three months on any piece of paper that requires a date on it. However, I am ready for the adventure ahead in 2018. But I cannot checkout of 2017 without a raving about the products I fell in love with this year! TARTE SHAPE TAPE I wanted this concealer for months before I got it. When my birthday finally came around in July, I decided I'd treat myself. I got this in the shade Fair instead of Fair Neutral because I loved how brightening Fair was. I've been obsessed with this concealer! It conceals my my dark circles, it conceals my pimples, it conceals my life mistakes, it conceals my everything . This was one of my all time Holy Grail products but it's 100% understandable why. Tarte Shape Tape is lik
